Hi, While I am sure you have undertaken careful research - and I would be interested to read your report - it just sprang to mind that a few years ago (when I lived in Swansea) I supported Gower SOS (Save Our Sands) ... constructive and destructive waves may account for the formation and removal of sand-banks and storm ridges, but do they have as large an affect as the dredging of sand in the Bristol Channel. It seems a much bigger and longer serving argument that sand loss from South Wales beaches is attributable to the removal of sands and aggregates by dredging in the Channel
